  6. Requirements:
  7.   Windows 3.1
  8.   Modem on Comm1, Comm2, Comm3, or Comm4
  9.   Printer for printing logs
  10.  
  11. Installation:
  12.   Create a directory for Fingers on your hard disk (Ex. C:\FINGERS)
  13.   Unzip the Fingers Evaluation Zip File to the new FINGERS directory.  
  14.   After installation, the following files should be on your hard disk:

  16.   C:\FINGERS (or whatever you called it)
  17.     feedback.txt        hmeter.vbx
  18.     fingers.cfg         readme.txt
  19.     fingers.wri         vbchkbox.vbx
  20.     fingerse.exe        vbcomm.vbx
  21.     fonebook.dat        vbgp.vbx
  22.     fonelog.dat         vblabel.vbx
  23.     fonestat.dat        vbrdobtn.vbx
  24.   C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM
  25.     vbrun200.dll (not included in the Fingers Evaluation zip file)

  27. Running Fingers:
  28.   Execute FINGERSE.EXE as you would any other Windows 3.1 application.  
  29.   The first time Fingers is run, a setup screen will appear.  Select 
  30.   the comm port used by your modem and the printer font you wish to 
  31.   use for printing logs.
  32.  
  33. Important:
  34.   Do not try to dial a number with Fingers while your modem is being used by 
  35.   another application.  Unpredictable results may occur.  For example, if you 
  36.   have a communications package such as Procomm running and have a data session 
  37.   open, you may lose your data connection by using Fingers.  However, you may 
  38.   still load Fingers to view numbers, logs, and statistics.
